Think back 10 years to a world without the Internet. If you wanted information on a product or service you had to visit a store or office or send for a brochure. Your initial impressions of any product or service were formed by what you first saw. That first impression is of paramount importance. We may have seen many changes in how we do business over the past 10 years but one thing that will never change is the importance of first impressions. No company can afford to cut corners with their identity, branding and marketing tools. Business marketing has outgrown the print and television mediums and now includes a vast array of electronic tools from interactive CDs and presentations to web sites and other forms of marketing on and off the Internet. This has been accompanied by the birth of a new breed of entrepreneur who understands that ‘image is everything'. For the most part, Graphic Designers are a dime a dozen – with technology as their tool, many designers do not even have the basic drawing skills once thought so essential to any form of visual arts. iMedia is old school. We believe that to be great, not merely savvy, designers need to be all-round people – artists, inventors, politicians and business people. |
